Monetary Support
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region depends on support and donations to help recruit volunteers and reach more children. Your support also helps us run background checks on volunteers to ensure child safety. Right now, all donations are being matched dollar for dollar, thanks to generous support from the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation. This means there’s never been a better time to support one-to-one mentoring and stretch your dollars further!
Donations also help Big Brothers Big Sisters provide ongoing match support for children, their families and volunteers to build the strongest, longest lasting relationships possible. We also evaluate and track results, allowing us to enhance our programs and ensure the greatest impact.

This rating puts us in the top 1% of all charities in America in terms of fiscal responsibility and effective use of donations.

We offer these tickets to our Bigs to use with their Little for a special outing. Event tickets help our Bigs in provide new experiences to Littles. Examples include professional sporting games (Great Lakes Loons, Saginaw Spirit, Red Wings, Pistons, etc.), theater performances, concerts and community events.

Item Donation
We occasionally receive item donations for our organization as well. While we greatly appreciate the generosity of these donations, we sometimes don’t have the space to accommodate all donated items.
