Bowl For Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ signature fundraiser. Each year half a million people across America come together to have fun and raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters as we change how kids grow up!

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a fun and easy way for you and your company, friends, or family to support the life-changing work conducted every day by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region. You register to bowl, get your friends, family, co-workers or whoever to support your cause, and celebrate with a fun evening of bowling.

As a “thank you” for your support and enthusiasm, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region hosts a celebratory party at your local bowling alley. Help us defend the potential in local at-risk youth and get started today!

Groups of 30 people or more have the option to host their own private Bowl for Kids’ Sake event over the summer. This is a great opportunity for your company or group to host a team building or employee appreciation event that makes a difference in our community.

How do I register for Bowl for Kids' Sake Online?

Online registration is fast and easy at bowlingforkids.org.

How Many People Are On a Team?
Teams generally range between 4 and 6 bowlers. Six is the maximum number of bowlers allowed per lane. Many larger groups have several teams, and we will make sure those teams get to bowl side-by-side at the event.
What Does It Cost?

Your participation is based solely on fundraising. We asked each participant to set a minimum goal of $50, or each team to set a minimum goal of $250. However, many teams raise much more. Anyone who meets the $50 threshold gets a free BBBS t-shirt!

How Do I Raise Money?

This is really up to you! Most participants find success sharing their participant or team page on social media once they register, and receiving online donations. Some participants choose to speak with co-workers, friends, family, church members, group members, or whoever about Bowl for Kids’ Sake and solicit check or cash donations. Some people even host various fundraisers at work.

Your participant center at bowlingforkids.org is the easiest way to see who has donated to you online, and how much you’ve raised. We will also update your page with any offline donations you send to us within a few days of receiving the donation.

What Do I Do With Offline Donations?
Feel free to drop off any cash or check donations you receive when you check-in at your bowling event.

If you’ve received a large offline donation, or don’t feel comfortable holding on to the money, go ahead and drop your donation off to one of our offices during business hours.
